I've had an indepth discussion with Andrew Spinks regarding your voting concerns.
1. Your shares are held in a nominee company.
2. You have to contact your broker to request a right to vote. There maybe a fee associated with this process, if you want to vote, then you will need to absorb this fee and claim it back in tax if you are eligible to do so.
3. Request your voting kit, complete it and vote, send it registered mail and request a receipt for your correspondence as recieved.
4. On the vote form it should indicate a proxy, in your case the share company that holds your shares to vote your portion of the shares the way you indicate.
5. By all rights you vote should be counted if recieved by the cut off date and time in your region.
It's that simple.
