thecableguy, where do you draw the line at how much of the business you know about.

What is the name of every employee, how much are they payed, where do they live, what car do they drive, is the car company owned.

What is the exact make up of the fraccing substance, what is the public opinion on the environmental effect of the fraccing substance, what is the political opinion of local senators of the environmental affect of the fraccing substance.

All of these are questions are valid in terms of the 'business' yet I dont care about these specifics and I'm sure neither do you.

So then it comes down to, where do you draw the line at what is adequate information?

When im searching for information to create conspiracy theories i KNOW im too much emotionally involved.

Ive looked at the success of fraccing recently, the spike in increase of activity in the shale areas including niobrara the amount payed by chesapeake for half our land and heck, even the fact we CANT get a frac crew is good. If the land was all dusters no one would be fraccing/drilling and we would have crews knocking on OUR door.

So far the 'insider' interest in the shale has boomed, CHK paying huge money, frac/drilling crews going crazy, yet there has been no reflection of this in the SSN price.

T/O, organic growth, I dont care what is the catalyst for the price rise, cos im damn certain there WILL be a price rise due to the information I know. When I'm researching more information but then biasing it to fit my point of view, I know I'm wasting time and effort to fill an emotional need.

If I was worried enough to be 'needing' to chase shadows or hire a lawyer to demand legal paperwork from a company, I wouldnt hold that company. Why bother if you are that worried?
Not only are there many other companies on the ASX there are many other shale plays on the ASX. The thing that makes SSN the best is the exact reason why people are whinging about it.

I'm presuming anyone reading this bought this stock because they believed it was undervalued. A stock that WAS undervalued is likely to REMAIN undervalued for a long period of time, such is life. It may even become more undervalued and unloved, if so good luck to new buyers they will also do well. If this stock was 'never' undervalued you wouldnt have bothered buying in in the first place.

You cant have it both ways. Just because you have bought something doesnt mean the price will automatically rise up. If a stock has downward momentum and has meaningless delays for reasons outside their control, they will go down in value in the short term as people panic and start chasing shadows, just look at this thread to see what I mean.

When the fundamentals finally shine through, in this case, we finally get some good drilling happening OR CHK get some good drilling happening on the purchased land, we are laughing and we are likely to see SSN rise a long period in a short time.

I just dont see enough of a difference between this and SEA to warrant SSN going down and SEA going up, the bigger the difference between the 2 the more liklihood of a meteoric rise in SP when things finally start going SSN's way.
