So, how did I go describing yesterday morning what would happen druing the day's trading:

"So, watch what happens to ESG today - not much movement one way or the other in the first hour or so.

Then, perhaps by 11-11.30, the bot will push the price down, to perhaps the low 80s, and then buyback in the last hour/hour and a half of trading.

Price control. If you have enough shares and are motivated to do it, you can control a stock price.

Which makes the whole idea of a takeover at +40% of the VWAP ridiculous."

Now, I ask you, is this the bot trader responding to market sentiment and price, or is it the bot trader creating and initiating the movements in price..? And, if the bot simply responded to random movement in market sentiment, why is the pattern always the same? Wouldn't random market movements in price, reinforced by the bot, vary like the proverbial 'Drunkard's Walk'? But, they don't. They follow a distinct and predictable pattern, as demonstrated by my example yesterday morning.

The trading pattern is goal oriented.

Consider this - do you think the shorting of Arrow prior to the takeover bid was driven by the desire for the shorters to make trading profits, or was it motivated by the desire to impact the price of Arrow? Was it a coincidence, or related?

History repeating IMO. All the more reason why ESG having other interested parties is imperative.
