Gaps are a self fulfilling prophecy ie. if enough people are trading with gaps in mind then it effects the supply and demand until the gap is filled. This is why gaps are more often filled in a heavily traded stock as opposed to a sleeper.
There is NO reason why a gap should get filled... none. Paricularly a break away gap. Exhaustion and continuation gaps are a different story.
Point is mate, don't hold your breath waiting for 25% of NXS's market cap to wiped off the board because a gap needs to be filled.
