Broker Data from 31/10 to now:
Morrison Securities Biggest buyer with 20.56m and a Net Buy of +16,725,083
Commsec Net Sellers with negative -2,894,385
As per last post; These figures should likely be double as the Broker Data I have access to doesn't show CXA trades unfortunately and about half of volumes give or take happen on CXA even for CommSec trades.
So Morrison could likely have bought a net of 33m; which makes sense as the breakout day had two big line wipes of 17m at 3.4/3.5 within a minute and no other broker has the same volume, next Broker is Euroz Hartley with 2,650,000 (maybe double if they bought some with CXA but they have no sells at all yet).
Retailers owning less shares during this accumulation channel (shown in my Chart posts) period even with the attempted breakouts.
Broker selling only 3.5m shares during a two weeks period (maybe 7m with CXA but as noted above means their buying likely is 41m and a net of 33m) even with a price spike; Morrison bought approx. 10m shares on the day it moved through to 3.5, but again as noted before it was likely them that took out the 17m in that 1-min buying frenzy that day.
Will be interesting later this week to see on the sell down 7/11 and 8/11 what the Broker data shows; who that buyer who line wiped 11m at 3.2c on Friday was as well.
Never seen big buying like that in stocks where there's "red flags" and based on Shortman when some of the shorting started again on 29/10, Citigroup Global Markets were the net seller with 2.98m then Commsec with 2.05m (can't short RDN with Commsec anyways as it's not on their allowed list); UBS had bought 9m Morrison 13.75m.
Appears the 43m Short was Citigroup; but looking at the dates where it spikes on the 17th (Short position) to 43m and then drops to zero instantly the next day; this coincides with the Capital Raising announced on the 14th; given the Short data is delayed by 4-days; so this very large short position can be attributed to Brokers in the know taking advantage of that CR coming, given the share price was in the 4c levels and the CR was 3.2c.
But it was closed very, very quickly, so it's not a Broker "in the know" of "poor results" but in the know of the CR.
Brokers now have been Net buyers with retail net sellers. Not something that happens if there's those "in the know" of "poor results/drills".
Chart now forming another Bullish pattern to add to the list; a Broadening Wedge which when it forms at the bottom of a downtrend is a Bullish Reversal signal. Closed on a Long-Legged Doji candle too which is a reversal signal candle; at the bottom of a price drop it usually indicates buyers in control and with the lower price of 2.9c rejected and bouncing off that support level.
The volume on the dramatic drop from 3.5c to 3.1c was very low compared to the previous two days; based on volume and how it traded; it indicates that it was allowed to just drop with retail being spooked and brokers just letting it fall but coming in to support it at 3.1c; if there was anything genuinely bad this would have continued to fall through which I've seen on many other stocks before "poor results" are then announced not long after.
I made a mention in a previous post of how it seemed like a Stop-Loss hunt attempt but didn't trigger anything, it seems like it did the next day though but significantly larger volume comes in; bouncing off the lower level with a Bear Trap and pushes back up to close at 3.1c support; forming a long legged doji and a bullish-broadening wedge pattern; which gives a 4.3c price target based on the principles of that pattern.
The chart is just a visual representation of what's been happening with the stocks price movement and a visual of the markets psychology and a visual of the current fundamentals (not future or past, but current) and the Chart pattern provides an indication of the direction things are heading, no different to a map; the news and progress of RDN will be the catalyst for these patterns to come into fruition, but Charts and Fundamentals aren't seperate things; they're the same thing just represented in different formats like speaking words and writing words or drawing a picture of said and written words.
