Further Mali has been a dangerous place to work or invest for quite a while. Intially it was more on one side now with the French military leaving after the blue hats it's the whole lot. Yes, it is different to Mali.
Cote D'Ivore is much more balanced
Not quite the difference between PNG and Aust. but the comment is on the right track. Anyway, there are sections of PNG that are worse than others. Today I wouldn't go to PNG under any conditions. I might go to Cote D' Ivore under the right conditions.
One thing that's helping them a lot is cocaco price from chocolate prices (PNG too). Others might complain about cocao growing expanding to where it shouldn't be like state reserves but that's a Western/woke perspective. Coffee is on the up as well but much smaller. I was encouraged when Caigen noted the places set aside for artisinal and small-scale gold mining too on one side of our BM leases).
