Global macro expert Kiril Sokoloff says he’s been buying shares of ASX-listed gold miner Southern Cross Gold, which he described as “the richest gold mine in the world”.Sokoloff talked up the $600 million gold miner at the UBS conference on Monday and said he’d been snapping up shares since mid-2023. “The co-founder of Franco-Nevada, Pierre Lassonde, always told me: if you can look for gold, look for it near another gold mine.”“It so happens that Southern Cross deposits are less than 100 kilometres from Fosterville, which is currently the richest gold mine in the world.”
