Makes sense, there was strong internal opposition to privatisation, so I guess the 5% cap is to keep it as a halfway between cooperative and listed. Can't last forever, of course; there is no going back now. You think at least a few years before removal of the cap, Hooligan?
Certainly is a tasty takeover target. They supply a lot of the big supermarket names. The next move might be to establish their own shop brands.
Their supply seems to be improving. They look after their suppliers well, and Nestle (also in W'bool) are gearing down, and might close = plenty of milk for WCB. The season is also pretty good this year (though a bit too wet), should keep supply up over summer.
