i see lots of benefits, but there is one GIGANTIC negative for me, i rang them, apparently you must use Iress to trade with them, and that costs $160 a month, unless you get enough basis points in your trading, which is 60 cents per $1000, so i worked out i would need to turn over some rediculous amount to get it for free, it's impossible for me to do that, i can barely do the 8 trades a month with comsec to get it free, every time i buy a stock, it invariably goes down the same day, often within the hour, and continues the downward spiral for days (see DEV for reference) this seems to me a similar setup to punters that bet in telephone numbers with the TAB getting kickbacks, the whales only need to break even and they get as much as 8 or even 10% kickback, which is a lot when you spend 10's or hundreds of millions. I'm a tadpole now, bait for the bigger fish, i just fish around and hopefully find a broker with say $3 brokerage without big turnover requirements
