Naive those thinking this is manipulation or some other garbage, the ramifications of large tariffs on China not to mention the potential of broader trade wars and macro political events under Trump justify this price drop and much more to come and I have started trading commodities to account for that.

We say that "if American sneezes the world catches a cold" and while there is a healthy chance tarrifs alone will be inflationary in the US and they'll take an economic hit the fact is the Australian economy is much more tightly leveraged to the Chinese economy and that is already struggling to bounce back.

A better play may be to look towards the countries that are likely to pick up the trade and manufacture slack such as India and Vietnam and how and what commodities may find their way there.
