Interesting to see a few Labor cheer-squad members on this forum. Interesting because socialist principles and capitalism were, I would have thought, mutually exclusive. So why are the cheer squad members at all interested in stocks? Kev told us in his essay last summer that capitalism was the root of all evil, didn't he?

Be that as it may, anyone who thinks this government is travelling well since 2007 [worse even since Gillard took over] ought try reading a newspaper or two. Murdoch rather than Firfax. I predict the government will be forced into an election in 2012 after being frustrated by the loopy Green majority that will control the Senate from 1 July next year. Brown already dictates policy with one HofRep member - imagine when he has REAL power!

Abbott will run a campaign of a clear choice - the Liberals or a Green/Labor [in that order] alliance. A clear, and obvious choice, for middle Australia. Do they want more of Brown, BigShott, Bandt and the other Keystone Cops or one Party in charge? Labor has chosen to lie down with dogs so can't be surprised the other side will point out the fleas. Like 1996, Labor is destined to be consigned to Opposition for another decade at least.

This government will go down as probably our worst since federation.
