Christian Reiche initiated proceedings in the Federal Court of Australia, with a hearing that commenced on Nov 4, 2024 scheduled for 5 days.
The proceedings concern Christian’s whistleblowing claims made persuade to part 9.4AAA of the Corporations Act 2001 (Cth). As he has disclosed misconduct or an in-proper state of affairs in Neometals in 2024.
These concerns include the forgery of NMT representatives’ signatures by a joint venture partner (Primobius/SMS) and the reverse engineering of a third-parties intellectual property that may have been sold to Mercedes-Benz by Primobius.
Contrary to what NMT disclosed in its Annual Report, this is not an employment claim. Christian is seeking damages, including exemplary damages, from Neometals for its failure to protect him as a whistleblower.
The case will continue in the Federal Court of Australia on December 9, 2024.
