I think the key to the announcement is found at the 2nd, 9th and 26th words of the second paragraph.
Perhaps the AFR is correct in alleging that documents were seized and property was purportedly taken for further investigations. Importantly, it would seem that it was not company property involved. The logical extension is that private assets may have been seized or other individuals (i.e. not company officers) are the subject of the alleged ASIC investigation.
All will be revealed in due course. Either way, it shouldn't reflect poorly on the core operations of WC8 - IMO.
