usually, pathology tests use various volumes of microlitres (symbol is uL)for each type of test for example may be 10uL, 100uL etc of reagent required to perform a test. This is known as micro-chemistry, whereby, 2000uL = 2ml and each different test may use different amounts of microlitres.
