I can’t remember the name of the conference but it was earlier this year, when everyone was expecting data cuts around the corner and the SP taking off….IMU rehashed their data from November I think, which was slightly disappointing, but what stuck with me browsing tweets about the conference was just how many players are in this space, and how many other impressive people there are doing work in this field. I’m not a scientist but there are many, many talented people approaching cures for cancer from different angles, presumably all fighting for pharma $.
I think sometimes in our HotCopper bubble we forget that IMU isn’t the only game in town, isn’t the only compelling technology out there with a shot at the holy grail. To me, these updates and the SP and lack of concrete interest to date, tend to indicate that we might just blend in with the crowd to some extent, at least for now.
I’ll continue to hold a small amount just in case, but my expectations have been greatly lowered over the past year or so.
