Share price not doing to well, thought I might try to get a job at SWM to try and recoup some of my losses, apparently they don't expect much and they pay really well from what I hear.
On another note when do you think that the outdated media ownership laws might get revised? Lets face it they were drafted to stop any one company from monopolising their position in Australia, remember the channel 2, 7 ,9.10 and SBS setup, now they are all FKD because of the internationals, so another question would it make sense for say a NEC and SWM merger to try and compete with the influx of internationals, would it get approval? or is the governing body just happy to wait until these media companies turn to dust.
I've said it before what are we shareholders here for exactly there is no capital gain in sight (just all holding losses) no prospect of dividends, just a whiff of a half ar$ed buyback that is now history, so are we just here to keep the lights on?????? keep everyone employed at SWM, some of which are on ridiculous money for an industry that is struggling at best.
How about something, maybe some consolidation, maybe sell off non performing assets, sell some real estate that is doing sweet FA.
No, all we get is advertising market is $hit and let's face it it might always be $hit from now on - so then what's the plan, well from our illustrious leader there is no plan!
Seriously something needs to happen soon to give some hope to the people that own this DOG, THAT BEING US SHAREHOLDERS!
