    UBS on Potash:

BHP - Jansen: How is the project progressing? Overrecent years, BHP has pivoted towards growth, organically (capex to lift fromUS $7bn in FY23 to ~$11bn pa from FY26) and through M&A (OZ, Anglo). Theorganic growth is focused on potash, with US $11bn to be spent at Jansen and oncopper with ~$10bn expected to be spent at Escondida (note),a further ~$10bn at Olympic Dam, and a further ~$5bn likely at Josemaria/Filoin Argentina (50%). We note however that BHP will not deliver higher coppervolumes until the 2030s and the returns from Jansen are set to be muted due tolow potash prices. As a result, we continue to see potential for BHP to look togrow inorganically (eg Anglo) over the next few years. Source: UBS.
