While no costings were given and we will never know how inflated that number was, to be fair, Dave did mention that the savings were based on the cost difference that they were able to sea lift the recent supplies opposed to the high cost over flying them in, as had been done previously. It would be reasonable to believe that sea freight would offer a substantial saving over air. It would also be reasonable to assume am some decent savings would also have been made on being able to bulk purchase supplies since they could move them in one shipment compared to multiple air deliveries considering the weight and metric volume that was delivered. Can't say if it was $4mil or not, however I am sure it would have been a substantial savings. It also demonstrated the simplicity and viability of land to ship and VisVera via barge without the need of building a deep water pier.
Anyhow, good luck to all :)
