If the seeds of nuclear power in this country were not opposed so vigourously by the greens & other leftist political forces back in the 1990s early 2000s we would probably already have nuclear power plants popping up & on our way to replacing our outdated coal power plants.

Johnny Howard tried to put it on the agenda but backed away once the opposition became too vocal.

To start the proccess again we are looking at 5-10 years of planning & debate then maybe another 5yrs or more in construction.

I feel we might have missed the boat a little & may be best to wait for the next wave of green technology to become viable for base load power generation.
