I could almost accept all these shady dealings if the actual communities effected were getting all these new shares. But they own a pitiful 5% of Genorah, according to Barry Sargent's research, and the breakdown of ownership in BN is unknown. I'd be surprised if community ownership of BN amounted to more than 5% of that business.

There appears to be a group of well connected and astute SA businessmen who have maneuvered themselves into majority ownership of these projects for simply putting these deals together. No wonder the communities are up in arms.

It will be interesting to see whether the legitimacy of BN and Genorah as BEE entities will be challenged.
