Hi longjohn,
No I'm not a metallurgist I'm afraid just a simple Carpenter.
Don't mean to cross ramp. When BC Iron started off, the MD Mike Young, a Geologist, would put in each company release a couple of pages at the end of each release, info about how steel is produced. After a couple of years, those who read everyone of Mike's company releases, had a fair idea about the whole process. The thing I found most interesting from reading Mike's releases. Is how the Pilbara Iron deposits came about Millions and Millions of years ago. In particular how a "Messa" was formed. Well worth looking into. Wikipedia is a good start.
As for Sundance, once again I'm afraid I can't help. If I get a chance I'll take a look. I have just read a couple of posts by haemitite. Haemitite knows alot more then me about ore quality from what I've just read. So would be able to give you a better answer. If he's willing to oblige.
Bye.
