Goodman Group Ltd (ASX:GMG) and its partners, Canada Pension Plan Investment Board, the All Pensions Group and the China Investment Corporation have made their formal bid for the ING Industrial Fund.
The price, which is effectively $0.53 a unit, is below the trust's adjusted asset backing of $0.55.
ING's chairman Kevin McCann says the board will recommend the offer to shareholders as it was a worthwhile proposition for investors.
For the year ended 30 June 2010, Goodman Group reported a net loss of $510 million.
