Seeing this thread back from the dead prompted me to re-read the ASX announcement on the ED flow test.
Its tone reminded me of a trotting meeting I attended many, many years ago. The favourite was unbackable - started something like three-to-one-on. We stood on the fence on the bend leading into the straight. Sure enough the odds-on cert was three lengths ahead as they turned for home. Three lengths ahead with the driver pulling his whole weight against the reins and shouting, 'Whoa ya' bastard!'
