    Quite suprising the lack of information regarding fee/surcharge attached to cards, considering it effects every cardholder.

    The way I see it
    Surcharge - direct charge to consumer and identified on purchase.
    Fee - unknown by the consumer absorbed by the retailer.

    Maybe the discussion should focus on difference in fee/surcharge structure ie small to medium size business compared to big business.

    Public holidays I believe are a different entity to the surcharge discussion.
