Is there a chance the gas could have all seeped out over the years? Tectonic plate movements, undersea earthquakes and other geological anomalies could have allowed the trapped gas to seep out through cracks and fissures. We're talking millions of years here. The video DB keeps showing of underwater gas seepage is evidence of this.
There may be siesmic evidence of gas bearing formations, but is there any gas still in them?
