He had a wonderful opportunity to really establish himself as a leader of the fightback when Ponting failed. Clarke is a wounded man, physically and mentally. Watch him batting. He never knows which ball to leave. He is like a goalkeeper who saves every ball.
Brad Haddin would seem the man now. But is he a leader of MEN? Clarke is not.
