It seems that US-based automakers have already begun the process of reaching arrangements to protect supplies following the US elections. But as one of the article's headlines states, it's a "uphill battle" for what are effectively start-up EV makers to develop US supply chains, except for Teslas, that is.
Therefore, I would like to know if we believe Musk will now likely manipulate the situation for his own benefit. If so, what does this mean for the aspirations of companies who are in our neck of the woods, like Honda, Mitsubishi, Nissan, Mazda, Kia, Hyundai, and others?
IMO, the plot twist is purely a result of Trump and Musk's default position when they take office in the White House, and it can only be good news for Australian raw materials and advanced Tier1 projects like RNU.
