Hi GMT first off all happy new year to everyone! With what I have been told and what I have seen on the occassional trip to the mine firstly, I don't think the decline would flood. Nor the plant have any worries, however, hauling of ore could pose a threat if the transport department impose a load rating on the highway to the plant. In other words depending on the percentage of load rate imposed would mean roadtrains would stop carting. Could look at this in a positive way. It will take longer for them to run out of dirt.
This year has been a doosy
: Heaps of people have left largely due to the way management acts
: Superanuation they seem to think was something that they could pay when they wanted. Was reported to the ATO
: The operations manager once the main contractor onsite with dodgy gear such as uncertified cranes had a close shave with the law over theft complaints
: The head exploration manager has resigned after many many years
: The chief operating officer/SSE has suppossedly resigned as well after many years
: They are calling for operators for everything in the hope that one day they will have enough bums in seats to cover 12hr shifts, 7 days a week again.
Well all I can say is I hope some brain dead Santa continues to give them a heap of money to keep the game alive.
If there are any elves left unburnt out there maybe your money would be better off being put into the making of toys and such things as there will always be Christmas!
