Ok, I'm going out on a limb here. I could end up with egg on my face, but I'm willing to put my neck out for this. I've been thinking about this for a few days now.
The extension of the suspension is due to ongoing negotiations with someone for an "equity fundraising".

So my assumption is someone wants to give RIL some money in exchange for a stake in the company. Who would do that?
The Sunlight Group.
RIL could end up with a worldwide exclusive licence from the Sunlight group for tech that can recycle LFP batteries. Why would the Sunlight Group do that when it doesn't benefit them? What, they just give RIL a licence & say all the best? No way. I think the Sunlight Group wants in on this little project so they can benefit from any upside.

It's either that, or the UK project partner wants in.
There should be news in the coming days.
