Just looking at the drop in share price since the announcement of the buy back (and topped up today): it's worth noting that NEU said in the buy-back announcement:
"The buy-back will not proceed during any designated blackout periods, which includes, but is not limitedto, the blackout period in respect of Neuren’s full-year results announcements from 1 January 2025 untilthe release of Neuren’s Appendix 4E Preliminary final report for the period ended 31 December 2024(due on or before 28 February 2025)."
...so this would limit them somewhat in the short-term as they'll only have between 2 Dec 2024 when the buy back begins until end the of December.
I'm hoping they go for it and buy back as much as they can before then. Hopefully that will positively affect the SP.
Also - noting the Broker they are using is Jefferies (Australia) Securities Pty Ltd. Anyone have experience of other stock buybacks being borkered by these guys? Could be worth seeing if there are any patterns.
