3.6 million subsidised solar users (I am one) rely on coal at night. Batteries store such a small amount compared with the required load. I have one (two in fact) but given the (even heavily subsidised) cost it is an interest rather than a commercial success. I have them to assist me to get through the inevitable blackouts headed our way if we stay on this crazy path . I am using a lot of coal fired power stations power this wet week. I like to think that I believe what the facts indicate is true. I don't bend with the wind (fads) but I DO go with the facts. I am rather non plussed by those who WANT to believe something to be true and ignore any facts to the contrary.
