ASIC has already been criticized in Federal Court as has AUSTRAC and ACCC for treating banks too lightly with very minor penalties. Judge Nye Perram has often criticized the regulators down in Australia for not pursuing banks harshly enough.
The uselessness of regulators in Australia will not continue indefinitely.
