Yes this just adds insult to the situation. Maybe if they have the monster by the tail and people are lining up to throw capital at them, then don't worry about a few easy nuggets.
But doing what you have mentioned here is definitely better than putting the whole show on hold while the company rattles the tin for a couple million.
