Kweneng was a Marshala tenement we acquired on the take over...
"CIC Energy?s Mmamabula coal (near our Kweneng) project recently became a point of interest to an Indian conglomerate engaged in coal mining and power generation. CIC Energy received a bid offer from an undisclosed multi-billion Indian company to have full control of the Mmamabula project, and values CIC at almost US$450million, which represents a premium of 204 percent of their share price."
Adjacent exploration data suggests that:
- A,B,E and K seams are prevalent in the area, with E/E2b seam having a better quality than the other seams
- Raw quality of the E/E2b seam indicate a raw quality suitable for power station use
- An export product can be achieved through washing at a 60% yielding a RB1 product
It is estimated that some 50% of the area is underlain by coal, with the western part of the PL area seeming to have the greater quantity of coal.
So, this is not a great tenement, not much info yet, but has potential. I see this as an explore and sell off imo.
