It is great advice. Saving money and increasing investments is great, but there comes a point where it is important to spend the money as we don't live forever.
My father got a diagnosis with GBM out of the nowhere (brain cancer) in his 50's and died two years later. He didn't get to spend a penny of his retirement fund. The poor bloke worked so hard during this life and he kept planning for a period of his life that never eventuated.
