I was in the same situation you describe some time ago. I kept researching and kept buying as slowly my wife started to believe that I had some idea of what I was doing.
I rode PEN in particular down and then up. Some others I just rode down.
My wife is very happy at where we are now and we are only at the opening page IMO.
You are at an advantage again IMO in that I dont believe you will have to ride PEN down like a lot did.
Your wifes confidence should come very quickly.
