Dim Dim, You don’t seem dim to me, but that broker data is sorted by net value low to high, so we have no visibility of the corresponding strength of the accumulating brokers. Secondly, with 7.44b shares on issue, the numbers don’t look overly large, especially given the six month period where the BoD have had a first strike. Hence why I am bullish IMU. This BoD have 12 months to placate shareholders or join the queue at Centrelink. I think they have their heart in the right place and for them this isn’t just about the gravy train rolling on. But if they want to achieve a higher goal, shareholders need to be taken along for the ride and accordingly I expect to see plenty of positive “movement at the station” before the next AGM. A trickle of broker flows however can quickly become a torrent and so I appreciate the insight your post provides, especially from a long holder. Nod to you.
Speaking of long holders… I am all for robust debate, especially from traders/former holders who are in then out and back in etc., but call me cynical, as I am convinced that “paid downramper” is real job. I mean seriously, the number of clowns on this forum offering their expertise and insights into stocks that they don’t hold, simply to save long holders from losing money truly gives me faith in humanity. Do they offer this charitable service to the ASX full list that they equally don’t hold?
Being this selfless is akin to going to a football match, when you don’t support either team and don’t like football! The difference is that booing at a football game doesn’t make you money. Downramping stocks to convince retail investors to sell their shares cheaply does. They do have lives, they also have KPIs. They wouldn’t be here otherwise. John says it best….
