I understand your angst and frustration over the delays.
I am ambivalent about breaking ties with Sonic. Having such a large company in control of your primary (and at this stage only) commercial ready product can work both for and against you.
IF they can succeed alone with their first product, it will create huge margins. It will also make it easier to then market and launch other products in their pipeline.
The MC and share price probably reflect the value in the IP, with little being given for sales revenue.
Its all a risk v reward, but if the company can succeed there is a cash cow in the making, so I'll hold until mid next year and build on my position if positive news flow starts to happen.
I still like the idea of shorts having to cover in such an illiquid stick too.
