What a strange thread this is. A charting thread to discuss TA taken over by those who would know Jack shite on the differences between a chart and a cart. One joker says that charts can’t predict announcements? Guess what, neither can fundamental followers, they wouldn’t have a clue and live each day on hopium.
A chart will tell you far more important things that will affect your investment than just hanging out for an announcement. How well has that strategy worked for you? Maybe if you could read a chart you wouldn’t be so far in the red?
Need to remember, how many of those “game changing” announcements arrive per year? 1, 2 mayber 3? And yet the ASX prints new data everyday on how the market is assessing not only the stock but the sector and the future outlooks. Charting gives you an accurate display of price action for you to read and make decisions on. Add a few indicators and it’s amazing what we can do and the opportunities offered.
Take it or leave it I don’t give a shite but dismiss it at your own peril.
