Correct, Slippin, the classic example is Kodak which failed to act when digital cameras took over the film market.
But the comment that really stood out to me was that the Chinese have devoted their energy (whoops; there’s a pun) to battery technology. In fact, at least one Chinese EV maker WAS a battery company first.
The Europeans seem to be pissing around still trying to make “hybrids” and still tinkering with the ICE with all its complexity and hundreds of moving parts. The EV battery and motor is utter simplicity by comparison.
Once “range anxiety” is overcome, the only comparator is price…and the Chinese will kill the competitors on that. Unless Donald J Trump rides to the rescue with his huge tariffs?
I wonder what the Trump Haters would say then?
