The company is not actively courting a takeover nor is it the case that the companies they are in talks with are interested in taking over STM at this stage. The discussions that took place in Ecuador some backs ago with major mining companies (and the next round to take place in January) are focussed on a JV/funding arrangement to help STM develop El Palmar and/or Bramaderos. The majors also want Malcolm and Bruce's IP and expertise re future exploration.
