I don't know if it's just me, but it always looks like Futures trading has some sort of bad wrap with traders generally. A lot of the people that are hesitant usually cite that it's a lot riskier, obviously because the losses are a lot more significant when you incur them.
This is a valid reason, and I think its good that we have events like the futures trading subsidy that helps mitigate the fear of losses by covering some of it for traders who reach a specific volume threshold, and this is asides the rewards of up to $10 USDT for completing first trade.
Of course I'd suggest that a lot of these guys try to learn more about Futures, but it helps that exchanges like Bitget are providing a launchpad for them with this event.
