They intend to look at all aspects of the idea and no doubt will be able to draw their conclusions after an appropriate examination.
From what I've read they too are looking at addressing other issues with their inquiry. This includes the potential economic benefits of storing water and the catching up on of what is said to be 20 years of inactivity in building new water storage's.
Just look now at the M-D system, further catchment upstream of the Darling (if at all possible) could provide an easement on the extremity of the proposed water buyback that will hurt the country economically.
Many people are angry that after a drought water is just rolling out to sea and if there is no rain again for some time we'll be copping water rate rises again and further restrictions. And yes all after our pollies tried to tell us it wouldn't rain like this again so there's no point in building dams, desal was the go.
