in a war, power infrastructure is among the first to fall victim of bombs. what good is a btc if you can't access it. or mine it. that's precisely what gold is for. no matter for messed up the global economy is, any schmuck can grab a pan and find a river to grab a few bits of dust to feed the family.
imagine having your value system based on something that doesn't exist in the real world. crypto is literally fairy dust.
I don't mean to turn this to a crypto thread - and I do acknowledge the opportunity in block chain tech. but the idea crypto will replace gold is absurd beyond absurd.
