Blackrock probably looking for USA deposists as national security issue imo, the US won't like relying on other countries shipments as thats a silly idea for a soverign nation especially the only nation that can defend us if need be.

I'm sure Milei from Argentina would be looking into it too as they have resources, Argentina is a bit of a worry for Oz economy in 5 or 10 yrs as they have commodities like us and Milei will know how to exploit them with lower costs than our miners.
Argentina might be more competitive with beef industry down the track too, i think they use to be big on cows i think, maybe @cowcockie knows more about this...
With globalism as it was and not much competition in the world for decades Australia is going to need to become more competitive especially in it's golden goose the mining industry, the easy money is starting to disappear like we seeing in nickel mines and our mininers will not be able to compete down the track if we don't have better economic policy and more competitive mining industry, fake made up ideological green steel/aluminium/nickel/lithium/etc markets won't last and probably won't even get off the ground anymore imo, if they conquered the world like they thought they would it might have worked but it doesn't appear to have worked out like that imo.
