On first viewing, with Highway East there are a few surprises here with 24HERC04 coming up with a very broad low-grade Zn halo and nothing else in the way of Au despite all the abundant pyrite and pyrrhotite so thats a bummer. All they have here at Highway East is more confirmation of broad low-grade uneconomic Zn zones that could be the halo to something better. I am sort of surprised that they haven't yet chucked a deep hole into the centre of the geophysical anomaly to the east of 24HERC003 and 24HERC005.
At Truncheon - I was looking for decent gold assays and the results were pretty disappointing there for gold, although 24TRRC003 did hit some narrow decent grade Cu and Zn and 6m of low-grade Au at the start of the hole. I'm starting to doubt the effectiveness of the (historic?) soil sampling though as we are seeing some things like the decent Au in historical hole TRDD17001 but no corresponding Gold anomaly at the surface, maybe a dispersal or a transposition/transportation of soil geochem locally compared to actual basement geochemistry? There still is a lot of surface geochemical "noise" around holes 24TRRC001 to 003 and quite a lot of low-grade Zn and Pb so I can see why they targetted this area, interesting that they hit something right near the end of hole TRRC003 so I will be looking to see if they drill another hole in front of this towards the NW or maybe a scissor hole to test it up dip.
This Highway/reward-style mineralization is incredibly complex and difficult to locate, so it's likely that some drill programs will sometimes have disappointing results.
