If Jamie Gibson's job is to benefit all shareholders as CEO, then the question today becomes would Kingsgate be much stronger/better as a company by employing 6x fresh/young/hungry graduates to compete and work hard each day for $100,000 each or....1x Jamie Gibson on $600,000+ paid for (arguably sweet f/a) to be sitting at conferences doing nothing of value for so much of his time.
If the answer is yes ofcourse, then until that decision is made, Jamie and Ross (especially) are prioritising self gratification at the expense of Kingsgates shareholders.
As has always been the case, great leaders make sacrifices themselves for the benefit of the group, a competent let alone great leader would give up a little food from his plate for the benefit of the starved group and not merely act in his own self interest concerned with nothing more than his own self preservation - just keep milking that cow Ross "these people think we should work for free" embarrassing...and then you've got Jamie there acting like he's doing charity service and isn't on $600,000+ despite having essentially no competency or qualifications to be a real CEO...
A team of six will always be more productive than a team of one...Ross may aswell pick out his favourite set of pyjamas and matching sleeping cap while selecting which nursing home he'd like to move into at this point.
Honestly, no offence to anyone up there in age but the Kingsgate AGM looked like a commercial for a nursing home. Atleast hires like Dan are pumping some blood back into the company, but watching Ross just avoid and deflect any of the real questions and palm them off onto....literally anyone else was incredibly cringeworthy, arguably because he forgot where he was.
