As shared here the other day, the Trump administration will progress any Billion dollar + projects and remove any red tape/environmental approvals. This works in our favour for a fast tracked approval. So we potentially get the best of both worlds through the transition from Biden -> Trump
I'd imagine that Chris Burns and the team have been working in the background on site selection and acquisition, and also the design and engineering on the new site. Now that the final piece of the puzzle has come through, they can now accelerate progress on the new site.
Trump is planning more tariffs on all battery materials in an effort to boost US production. He'd be mad not to support this project if he wants to increase the domestic supply of minerals
