Was buying butter at Coles and noticed there were 2 Coles butter products. I checked out the ingredients to find out why one was cheaper. Both were advertised as butter but one had ferrocyanide added for an extra 50 cents. Not sure why butter needs anticaking agent!

Then I needed some cream, Coles had quite a range of brands but only one was pure cream! All the rest had emulsifiers added!! Carageenan is not a particularly healthy additive.

check around 16 minutes for the carageenen bit.

I have never paid attention to this before and assumed cream was cream....but no, you can have all these emulsifiers added and get your cream at a bargain price. Pure cream costs a fair bit more.
