Of course it should be submitted in January - as I've mentioned many times, there is an Annual fee for application (paid per calendar year), so January is the best time to submit.


And your logic that the EP submission should be... what... AFTER...getting a JV Partner? AFTER... booking a rig? AFTER... NOPTA Lease Renewal? That makes no sense - and you know it!

EP Approval makes EMP much more attractive to potential JV partners.
EP Approval is a pre-requsite for drilling; EMP won't be allowed to carry out the works without the EP approval, you know this Seuss.
NOPTA Lease Renewal and NOPSEMA EP approval are mutually exclusive, however NOPTA will look more favourably at EMP should there be a well defined plan how they will get to drilling, EP approval will strengthen their cause and NOPTA lease renewal will simply become a formality.

Ignore the Gold License - EMP will make coin on this, but not the way you may expect.
